PUBLISHED: Bay Area Parent Magazine – August 2010

For this month’s issue, the editors of the magazine wanted to do a feature article about the game Guitar Hero and whether or not it helps kids learn how to play the guitar. We put a call out to find a kid who played the game and what we ended up finding was someone even better. Meet 11-year-old Isaac Hathaway, a rock star in the making. He’s an amazing musician who wasn’t afraid to rock it out for this month’s cover.

We found out that Isaac is part of a great group of talented young musicians, collectively called the San Francisco Rock Project. The SF Rock Project is a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area that offers music lessons to kids and prepares them for live performances at local music venues, festivals. On May 15th, the kids had their very own Lollapalooza Show at DNA Lounge in San Francisco. To see Isaac Hathaway and the rest of the SF Rock Project in action, check out their performances here:

I’ve been busy, busy, busy. A good thing of course! Lots going on behind the blog, so bear with me….I’ve got some reeeeally good news and announcements coming up…

Here’s a quick sneak peek from a twin session I did the other day. Aren’t they the cutest little twin girls you’ve ever seen?! Lately, my 4-year old son has been asking me for 2 baby sisters. Uhm…..no, not anytime soon. But if they’re as cute as these two, I might not be able to resist.

Thanks to my sweetest friend Chrissy, I was able to meet this family who I instantly fell in love with. Check out these two cutie patooties. 3-week-old Chelsyann was such a good baby. She was so sweet and precious.

She sleeps like an angel.

Her big brother Christian (aka Lil Boo) is 3 1/2 years old and is already such an amazing brother, so gentle and loving.

While mom was busy feeding Chelsyann, I had so much fun playing with my new little buddy. Can’t you just hear that ROAR!!

I don’t know what I’m gonna do now. It’s only been a few days since I saw them and I’m already having Chelsyann and Christian withdrawls. =(
